Mark My Words
Cutout foam stars, luminous pigment, white paint
A chameleon wall-piece that deliberately underwhelms during opening hours, only to reveal itself at night reaching out from the gallery space to catch the eye of those passing by.
This work was created by cutting all the abstracted star shapes out and placing them on the wall, then painting them all a uniform off white. A second coat of the same colour with glow in the dark pigment added was painted over some stars to form the phrase. This presence of this pigment is invisible in the daytime.
